It's an absolute nightmare to run out of battery right when you're catching up to a hefty charizard. Most of our wonderful smartphone addicted generation will already have a battery bank (or just carry a charger around in their bags), but if you have just discovered the joys of running your phone down to 0 in a day because of Pokemon Go, then here are the best external battery packs you can get. If you're a British trainer, take a look here. Also you can get a pedometer for 20% off if you'd like an easier visual of how far you've walked.

They have offers for a discount of 50% on lightning cables/car chargers and in theory code ALX97E29 will bring the price down to $40. It is just under an inch thick so it isn't too bulky to carry around in comparison to some of the other heavy hitters in the market. It includes 2 Micro-USB cables so you can leave one in your PC and one in your bedroom etc. It is glossy and has anti scratch treatment so it will stay looking great, buy it here. I've asked them if they can do a discount for my readers as it is a bit pricey, but its worth every cent!

2. iMuto 20000mAh Compact Portable Charger

  • $30 with 2 usb ports (2.1A, 1A)
  • Very high capacity meaning you can charge an iPhone 6 almost 8 times
  • Smart Digital Screen displaying remaining power digitally, hidden til activated
  • Includes a travel waterproof pouch
This charger is a great deal for $30, as you're getting quite a lot of capacity for your money as you can charge an iPhone 6 at least 6 times. The trade off you're making here is the comparatively smaller current and the two ports delivering different amounts of current, but if you're buying more than one battery bank then there are discounts to save 30% on some of their other products. This weighs 1 pound, has a 24 month warranty and is a pretty decent pick if you don't need the absolute fastest charging speeds and the digital screen is nifty. Buy it on Amazon here. I'm currently talking with their support team about getting discounts for all you guys, I'll know more soon!

  • 4.9 stars over 160 reviews at the time of writing
This battery bank has the highest output in the market for charging 3 devices, with 5.8A that can simultaneously charge 3 devices for 2.4A per port. It uses iSmart technology that will automatically detect and deliver the optimal charging current for connected devices. It may not be the most attractive power bank but it packs a punch and is currently discounted from $90 to make it look like a great deal. You can buy it on Amazon (with Prime!) here.

5. BasAcc Premium 10000mAh Portable Charger

  • $19
  • Dual ports to charge two devices at once
  • 10,000mAh with max output 2.0A
  • Charges up in 6 hours
This sleek leather look powerbank is a really great deal on sale for $19 on amazon, it has a capacity of 10000mAh which is enough for 2-3 charges on an iPhone 6s Plus which is decent if you aren't a heavy user and you're happy to recharge it frequently. It has a slim design and it is fairly lightweight, fitting easily into a pocket (0.5 inches thick). This is best if you usually just grab your phone and a snack and head outside for a while as you don't need a bag to carry it (unless you're in a dress without pockets), it is pretty easy to hold as well if you don't want to put it in your pocket while you catch em all. You will need to recharge it much more often, and it doesn't carry as great customer service as Anker so it depends whether you want to save $4 (you lose a long warranty). I tried to contact them regarding discounts and didn't actually find their support team.
